Time is greater than Money
Probably a decade back when I was in pure sales I had a meeting with one of our clients regarding software.
After a few meetings we were quite friendly and we were sitting having coffee in his office.. suddenly he got a call from the reception and I could only listen the words he said, “okay…. Give him… No…I’m in a business meeting… Okay” and he hanged up the call.
Then he said sorry that there was a friend of mine at reception.
I could not resist myself asking him why didn’t you meet as we were already done with the meeting and we were only talking casually.
He replied me and that changed my attitude towards time.
He said listen Shaikh if you have money you will give it to anyone who comes to you for help you will not even bother much to ask why?
But you will spend time with only those whom you like to spend.
I learnt a great lesson of life that people who are giving me time is this fast moving world I should value them.
I started valuing and respecting people who gave me time.
